The August 2022 Techathon event was held two months after the United States Supreme Court decided that the right to abortion access should no longer exist. We raised $450 for the National Network of Abortion Funds, a group that helps remove financial and logistical barriers to abortion access. The 12-hour stream included discussion segments and playthroughs of Skribblio, Jackbox Party Pack, Team Fortress 2, and Deep Rock Galactic.
December 2021
The December 2021 event for Techathon raised $520.00 for Direct Relief, an organization that equips doctors and nurses with life-saving medical resources and helps organize emergency responses in over 80 countries and all 50 U.S. states. We had over 10 participants across two 12-hour streams, including a mix of discussion segments and games like Counter Strike: Global Offense, Valorant, and Jackbox Party Pack.
December 2020
The December 2020 event for Techathon raised $2820.00 for Doctors without Borders, an independent international medical humanitarian organization that provides aid to people in more than 70 countries. The event was a continuous 24-hour stream on Twitch, with discussion segments and games like Jackbox Party Pack, Dungeons and Dragons, and Minecraft.
